I have recently decided to add a new member to my menagerie, and what better than a turtle; my all time favourite animal. I did do research into this topic several years ago, but I seem to be unable to remember my findings. What laws are there governing the owning of turtles/tortoises in Australia (WA)? Do I need a licence? What kinds of enclosures would I need for the different readily available species of turtles and tortoises? How can I get my hands on one, where would they sell them? Do you have any experience with a pet turtle or tortoise, what species was it, what was it like Ipersonality-wise)?

My turtles wont eat their salad or these new krill i got them and i havent acually seen them eating any of the food capsule thingies for the last half a year or so yet they still look healthy and swim a lot. also, they dont bask in their heater-light-thing at all they just sit in the water. whats goin on?
