you can get them from pet stores ..a normal aqurium heater and filter will do good , you need to get them as soon as possible

Its all good. Shes eating again and shes back to her normal self.
U can buy that shit at any pet store. You shouldve really did your research before u got a turtle. They require alot of care especially alot of cleaning. U gotta keep the water as clean as possible! And without the proper lighting, his shell can get soft. Its all about the rays

My turtle is usually very active, very social and is ALWAYS hungry but today he was being sluggish, wasnt eating and totally ignored me when i walked up to the tank. I have proper lighting, proper heating and proper filtration. Ive had her for about a year and a half and she was always healthy. Any ideas of what could be going on?

ok well you defently NEED to get a water heater and a filter ….you allso need to put a lamp(a 60w bulb will do fine) over the land area (about 6 inches away from it )
to be honest i think it is due to the conditions your turtle is being kept in at the moment and could be changed easyily …..do you have a picture or video of the turtle and the tank ?? that would help

the temperature is room temperature
the water is left in a bucket for 24 hours

if your turtle wont open its eyes it will be because you dont have the right conditions for it … i need to no a few things so please answer these questions ..what temprature is the water ? is the water heated ? do you have a filter ? and do you have a land area and a water area in the tank ?

i very much doubt it ..al you can do without takeing to the vets is …get the right water temrature and have clean water …do you have a dry area for it and a water area ?

yes the water should be 26 degrees celsius or the turtle will get ill …if you dont have a water heater you need to get one ..and if her eyes dont eyes dont open you NEED to take it to a vet

Perhaps its body temperature is too low. Do you have a basking lamp and a heater for the water? Turtles tend to get lethargic during winter because of the cold weather.

and not opening its eyes and not eating can be a big side effect of the water being too cold ..your water should be 26C

ok hello ppl ! im back!! and i have another turtle that u know looks very healthy but then when i got a new turtle the other turtle ,named squirtle, kinda acted scared and is now closing her eyes a lot and not eating! she was really healthy before!!!!then when i seperate them shes still scared!!!! WHAT SHOULD I DOOOO! *sobs*
